The Architect’s Suite

A stone bridge takes you across the large water feature at the front of Lynn Hall to the Architect’s Suite.

The main living area was designed by Raymond Viner Hall and was his first architectural office in 1939. The studio features a 35-foot ceiling/roofline that cantilevers the full length of the room creating a solarium effect with glass ribbon skylights (an early example of this type of design). The unique fireplace is a signature Hall design and is the main focal point along with the original bookshelves and illustrations by RVH.

The en-suite bedroom features many examples of Port Allegany’s glass history, including some of the original fused glass block produced at the local Pitt/Corning facility. The bathroom has been updated with modern conveniences while keeping with the historic design.
